Good quality blast cabinet but excellent with home upgrades.
As previously mentioned, the syphon pickup tube is a little short and this hampers you manoeuvring the blast gun into the best position. It could do with being about 6-8” longer. Also the syphon pickup in the blast media sump is unvented, so you can have some starving and surging of blast media. I’ve correctly this with the addition of a rigid vent tube.
The lighting is adequate but, again can be easily upgraded by the addition of cheap bulb holders. Visibility can be challenging during blasting, so these lighting mods along with the addition of a vacuum cleaner attached to the dedicated outlet is a must. This is the same with all blast cabinets.
I’ve since mounted mine on a trolley with castors, so that you can blast at a comfortable working height and move it around easily.
For the money, this is an excellent first cabinet. I’ve learnt quite a bit on the way and the mods I’ve carried out have been simple and relatively cheap. I’ve seen reviews on much more expensive cabinets highlighting the same issues, so, all in all, I’m very pleased with it.
If these mods came as standard and for, say £10-15 more, it would get an excellent five star rating.

Excellent wheel paint
I used HB 2K body primer as a base coat before too coating. Tetrosyl silver wheel paint goes on best with a light coat to start with. Flash off 15mins before reapplying desired number of heavier coats, allowing to dry between coats.
Good opacity and coverage. Fine spray nozzle gives a smooth glossy finish. i didn’t experience any runs with this paint and when cured, it gave a durable and attractive look to my wheels.
I chose to sandblast my MG Rostyle steel wheels, so the surface had an excellent key for the paint but rubbing down well with wet or dry paper probably would have given equal adhesion.
Overall an excellent paint and will definitely buy again.

High quality fine graphite
Excellent quality and very finely ground powdered graphite. I use this to mix with epoxy to make a chafe resistant coating for a rudder and centreboard casing. Mixes very well and high quality. Fast delivery. Highly recommended seller.
