Solid, fast board
This was purchased in order to update a Media PC. Having had a number of issues with a previously purchased board, I was not expecting a better result with this one. I'd have given 5 stars for the nice native lighting controller and the online updating, but for a strange idiosyncrasy (perhaps of the board; perhaps the case) experienced when the board initially failed to power up. Apparently, one must turn on the power supply at the back of the box and--very quickly--push the front (large, decorative) 'power on/off' button. The DDR4 and LGA 1200 were both significant improvements over the previous configuration (i3, LGA 1155, DDR3 RAM). This board has many of the same features as the more expensive boards built by ASUS at a lower price point. It seems to be a good value for the money and a good fit as a media pc platform.

Excellent home server replacement.
This is a very robust unit. Supermicro has always built solid, well-fitted machines, and this is no exception. I expect this server replacement to keep my home domain healthy for quite a while.
