I know a Venus Fly Trap needs poor quality soil with no added nutrients. I'd call that the cheap "Stuff" but it's expensive. This dude was cheapest unless you wanna save a pound and mix it yourself. Plant seems happy in it, although how you re-pot one, without triggering nearly all the traps, is beyond me. But solid tip: don't let the traps grow over the edge of the pot. They die when they drop below the soil height. Also, use rain or distilled water. Tap water WILL KILL it
