Good for the price
At first glance this model is lovely, with working lamps fitted and DCC sound. However when test run the loco shorts every time the track curves to the left.
For the price paid, this is still a reasonable model, but it will need work to rectify the faults.

Distinctive and rare model
This model is a little contraversial for being overpriced and poor quality... not one of Hornby's finest products, but the model I received looks good, runs well and does appear to have any of the issues noted by some reviewers.
All examples if this named variant have been sold. What remains available is overpriced, but the price I paid for this second hand model was fair with all things considered.
