Awesome product and works well as an alternative to the Google aiy board for a DIY personal assistant
Basic recording and playback functionality is very quick to set up, but the Google assistant software setup is pretty time consuming and I haven't quite managed to get that fully working yet. I've used alexapi instead and made a DIY echo spot instead. Its pretty good although not quite capable enough to run all of the skills. Ok for basic questions, weather, traffic, radio playback but don't expect much more than that due to limitations in the software. The board though is great and highly recommended.

Great little amplifier for low power raspberry pi project.
Excellent product and very quickly delivered. I've used this for a Raspberry Pi Zero internet radio project as I was having problems with processor noise being picked up when using other amplifier boards. This PAM8406 solved all of those problems. It would be useful to have an option to fit your own potentiometers so that you could mount individual left and right channel volume controls yourself, but I use an app to control this in my project so it's not essential. I'm using this with 16ohm speakers and it works fine although the spec says it's rated between 4-8ohm so I'm probably losing some power, but it's plenty loud enough anyway.
