Have just tried it for the first time and its ok apart from a small leak at one connector. i have tried tightening the coupling but it still persists apart from that it does the job.

Works well and cooks evenly, the only differences between this sandwich toaster and the last one we had is that this one is larger in plate size and a higher wattage. The only downside is that it only just seals the edges of a full size piece of bread whereas our last one had a firmer edge seal when cooked. I still think with the longer guarantee though that overall this is a good machine but would like the edge zone on the plates to be a little hotter for a better seal, so still five stars.

I have not tried them for water tightness yet but S&J are normally good and reliable so hope all is ok.
