Door Bell is not easy to connect to a WIFI Signal

Had a difficult time trying to connect the unit to the required 2.4ghz signal from my phone to my router. I run everything off a 5ghz signal so it made it really difficult to connect to the door bell. Not sure why the company decided to run the unit off a 2.4ghz signal??
