Power cord name confusing
0 of 1 found this helpful The router works as expected and appears in good condition.
The power cord refers to an AC adaptor, shipped with the router and required to power it up. An AC adaptor like this has 3 key numbers that define it: the input AC (line) voltage, the output (DC) voltage, and the output current. All 3 of these were wrong for the application. The input voltage was suitable for the US only (110 VAC) despite being shipped to Europe (which needs 220 VAC). The output voltage was 7.5 volts, but the router requires 12 volts. The output current was 350 milli-amps (0.35 A) and the router requires 1 amp.
I threw the adaptor away; its value would be less than the cost of shipping it back. I am lucky, I had a spare available. Others should beware.
