Buy It!
1 of 2 found this helpful Harman Kardon has always had a reputation for quality and this receiver does not disappoint. Sounds great, looks great, tons of connectivity and easy to set up (IF you read the manual). The automated setup is absolutely BRILLIANT!!! My only gripe AT ALL is the standby LED - the amber light is a little too wide and bright, but it does go away if you turn off the master power switch.
I replaced a [certain large Japanese manufacturer] surround receiver (that cost more) and I could not be happier; the H/K has half the rated power, but that's just "paper power". My Harman Kardon AVR 247 looks better, sounds better, and is MUCH more solidly built.
