Replace centre pivot pin with a nut and bolt to keep jaws stable.
Replace the useless central pin with a nut and bolt, and you have a very effective and inexpensive set - doing this keeps the circlip jaws rigid and inline.

Too narrow to be safe for general DIY use.
Whilst this jack is of reasonable quality re materials used, the track is too narrow to be safe in use.
For a small jack, the wheelbase is quite reasonable at 46cm at axle centres.
However, the front wheels (track) are only 14cms apart - measured from outer edge of the wheels, which makes the jack prone to tipping in anything other than perfect conditions, i.e. using on driveways, etc.
The rear castors are only 18cms apart, again, affording little stability in less than perfect conditions.
This jack could be greatly improved by fitting a longer front axle and wider wheels, which would add a small extra cost to the manufacture of it, while making it more stable and safer for the DIY user working on driveways, etc.
The old saying: "Don't spoil the ship for a ha'porth of tar!" comes to mind.
Another classic example of something looking good on the drawing board, but with little consideration of the practicalities the item will need to cope with in a DIY user market.
There is a gap in the DIY market for a lightweight and *SAFE IN USE* budget trolley jack, and with a little more thought put into track width, I suspect this jack could fill that gap.

Great feature for any garden
I have this mounted under the front eaves of my shed with a solar powered light shining on it at night - great practical and novelty feature.
Has kept good time over past six months.
I am very happy with it and would recommend.
