An Epic Chuck-Fest!
1 of 1 found this helpful Gotta love Chuck Heston. Whether playing it flat (Moses), more lively and a bit brooding (Ben-Hur) or cynical (Planet of the Apes, not in this collection), Chuck is always magnificent. The Blu-Rays here are the highest quality from a recent restoration. You can see so many details. And, Chuck is maginficent, too, in all his Blu-ray, digital glory.

Great "Old School" Recording.
Karl Richter was a master--one of the last of the "Big Bach" performers before "Historically Informed Performances" became the norm. Very dramatic and expressive. There's still a place for this kind of performance.

Great remaster! Great series!
Great remaster. Some analog video artifacts. Masterful drama and acting! Derek Jacobi is great as Claudius, but I'm always amused by Brian Blessed!
