USB 2.0 in Disguise?

I bought this product to charge and transfer files from my phone at high speed, only to later discover that the rated speeds are not as advertised. Plugging this device into my USB 3.0 capture card leads to my computer reporting that the device could perform better if plugged in with a USB 3.0 cable, which makes me believe this cable is actually a USB 2.0 cable in disguise. I bought two of these cables because of their strain relief and rated transfer speeds, but ended up very disappointed, which is strange because the pinouts on the connectors seem to make sense.

Great Router

While the stock settings are pretty basic, you can install DD-WRT on the router and unlock more options than you'll know what to do with! Highly recommend this router for that alone.
