7 round mag for J.C. Higgins .22
I bought these for a Sears J.C. Higgins .22. They are good quality and decent price. I read reviews where people filed down the rivet (pivot for mag release) on the magazine to make it fit. The rivet does stick out a bit too much; however, it is not a good idea to file away the head of a rivet. the magazine is a tight fit into the trigger/guard housing period. The housing is made of plastic and my solution was to carefully file away on the housing until the mag fit without binding and without filing away too much of the plastic housing.
The final fit is good with a solid engagement of the mag catch. The mag spring is perhaps a bit strong. If you don't make a strong, smooth action with the bolt then the round may jam upon entry.
