Pretty grim subject material for children!

Our granddaughter who is 8, is studying piano and really isn't familiar with most American Folk Songs so I bought this. We were listening to it in the car together and one song tells about the little boy "killing the yellow cat" and another talks about the mysterious little girl in fairy green who takes the little boy by the hand and "stabs him like a sheep". Plus, by today's standards, the production quality is poor. I am throwing this in the trash.
