Good old-fashioned entertainment
2 of 2 found this helpful I loved this show when I was a kid, so I was thrilled when this came to DVD. The plots are engaging, there is good acting, and the scenery is beautiful. I wish the Complete Season One wasn't so outrageously expensive. I'm happy to own Season Two, though.

CD showcases talented Muppet Songwriters - a fun CD to listen to
I bought this CD to make me laugh. The talent of the Muppet songwriters has always amazed me. Being that it's "The Muppets Christmas Carol," the songs have meaning AND humor. There was one song I didn't recall from the movie -- "Room in Your Heart," sung by Mr. Honeydew and Beaker. Maybe it was cut from the original film. Anyway, it was cute. I'm a big fan of Paul Williams, so anything he writes I'm partial to. If they ever make an audio of the movie, not just the musical portion but include the narratives of Gonzo and Rizzo, I would enjoy that as well. It's just something fun to listen to.

Cute, simple story line surrounded by great music
1 of 1 found this helpful Rodgers and Hammerstein were masters at taking a simple story, adding wonderful music and terrific lyrics, and making it all so memorable. This musical isn't realistic, but if you're willing to just go along with the story, you'll enjoy it. Having been raised on a farm myself and entering items to be judged at the local fair, this movie brought back memories. The actors make this movie work, and the singing is awesome.
