Good series in a good box
This series is outstanding, although some of the characters are a little bit annoying: namely, the main guy. He is such a "loser" that he goes out every day, talks to his friends, is constantly fending off romantic interest from his female co-stars, and when he needs to get a job, he gets one that very same day. So if you're looking for an accurate portrayal of the lives of pathetic people, I'd recommend you watch WataMote instead. Our hero also keeps rejecting the girl, resulting in the lonely weirdos who watch this series (hello!) screaming at the TV and throwing things and calling him a baka~~
But it's a fantastic series in every other way. The writing is incredible. It comes in a nice box which won't take up too much space on your shelf. There are no special features apart from the opening and closing credits with the writing removed, as often happens with anime DVDs.

It doesn't have everything but it does instil passion
I wanted to buy a book that would teach me basic electronics, and which I could use to maybe make some simple projects. This book covers the first half brilliantly, but it doesn't tell me how to make anything. It tells me where to look, but this book was published in 1995 or thereabouts so most of those places probably aren't there any more. However, the writing style is clear, enjoyable and educational, and if you can find the other books in the series, they will probably tell you more. All in all, this book is 100,000 times better than the other electronics book I bought myself, but my star rating for it can only be five times higher, so that's the score it's getting.
