Oliver Reed at his best

I really enjoyed this film based on a true story. Oliver Reed was very engaging. Clever the way body doubles were used from time to time to show how the couple were so starved of decent, regular food. Lovely scenery.

not strictly factual but very engaging

I have been trying to get a dvd copy of this film for years. In the past I have only ever been able to tape it off the TV when it has been shown. This is a God send. I love this film because it has my favourite and much missed actor Peter Wyngarde in it, playing Peter the painter. Although made on a cheap budget and filmed in Ireland instead of the Eastend of London where the Siege actually took place, and it is of grainy quality it is still my favourite film. Maybe the poor quality is to make it authentic for the era it is set in? I still love it. Trouble is, I keep joining in or preempting the dialogue - which annoys people!! Thank you ebay for stocking this film.
