Hmmm. Looks like an explosion in a hessian sack factory.
It remains to be seen whether this is good compost or not. It looks like the remnants of a hessian factory inside and I would say that in a years time if you put it on your compost heap it will be quite nice. Lots of large wooden matter and very clumpy. I'm going to cut my losses and put it in the bottom of my raised beds but I certainly wouldn't think about using it as a top layer in them.
Time will tell I guess. Wont be buying again if I don't get good results from it.
