Dont fit a 6mm soldering iron unless you machine them down.

The tips are discribed as 6mm, however they have ben dipped in some sort of metal to coat them. The coating is about 0.15mm thick but irregular so the tips are actualy 6.3mm but not round. This rssults in them not fitting a 6mm soldering iron. Turning down in a lathe to 6mm works and I am now using them. The other option would be to emery cloth them down but I have not tried this.

I use it to frost protect a small tree. Works well. It will keep the rain off but only usefull for sleaping standing up.
