Fantastic story!
Bought this for a friend as its such a great book, have read it at least a couple of times over the years as its as good as any of Anne McCaffrey's books ive read.

Easy to fit and use.
Took less than ten minutes to install with just two wires to connect (either way round, no polarity) and two screws into the wall to hang it from. Two double A batteries to power the nicely lit.(blue LED's) and large easy to read display. Instructions say batteries should last almost a year, I've used re-chargeables so will probably be less than that before I have to swap them over. I can see it being a little more fiddly changing the batteries once it's fitted as the wires connecting it to the boiler go through a hole in the middle of the back casing and bracket, restricting access to its interior a little as the boiler wires keep both halves attached to the wall when unit is opened,(splits in half) or just unscrew/rescrew the wires when replacing the batteries. (switch boiler electrics off first;) That slight fiddlyness is not enough to put me off the thermostat as it works very well and looks great. I really like it!
