Aliens VS Predator, the next chapter
Now dont get excited, this isnt the terrible film people like to make out! admitidly perhaps not the greatest film ever made, but certainly not 'Con air' bad!!.
If you're interested in this film you probably already know what its about and what it entails,you probably have allready seen some if not all of the previous chapters in these two stories, so the question reamains how does it fit in?.
Well i think it works well, as a next chapter in the story, perhaps as a single story not great, but as part of the whole very well and without better than the previous Aliens Vs Predator film.
The makers quite obvoiusly know the stuff, they know the history and refference it well.
If there are complaints to be made its that the characters are alittle 1 dimentional (not a complaint really, as most characters are in modern US films and they are not what you're there to see after all).
Overall the DVD is lacking in a decent contrast level, the picture is just too dark, perhaps the dvd transfere or perhaps poor cinematography.
But the stars of the film are of coarse the monsters and they are on great form, well excecuted and looking great. A film not to be taken too seriously and easy to enjoy.

freedom fighter or terrorist!
A truly great story, told in a well paced and acted way. Intially the story may put people of, a masked freedom fighter using force and treats to get his way in a future dystopic thatcherist society. But of coarse one mans freedom fighter is another mans terrorist and in this case V (the main character) beleives that his country needs a wake up call to see the controlled 'orwellian big brother' society that the UK finds its self.
This film concentrates more on the the effect this society has on its people, and in particular the story that caused 'V' to become the man who lives to repay the crimes against him and the UK in general. Along the way the state and police are trying to find and unearth 'V' and as the film progresses the complexity and tradgedy of this mans life becomes apparent.
Trully a wonderful and uplifting story using the best of UK science fiction story telling and US quality. The perfect antidote for the large US sci-fi films that entertain yet fail to move or make you think, V for vendetta does both, A must see not least for its great story but also its great cast and touching performances.
