Molly Tuttles First CD
Molly Tuttle and her brothers have been playing bluegrass almost as soon as they began walking, and can be seen on You Tube clips under the "Tuttles" heading. Now 18 Molly has gone solo and her first CD "Rise" features her own songs with elements of bluegrass instrumentation tuned into the 21st century. If you live in the UK It is also wonderful that the CD is available from a UK seller.

Stefan Uher: The Unknown Major Film Director
Stefan Uher outside of the Czech and Slovak Republics is hardly known, yet these three films from the 1960s are masterpieces, with echos of major film-makers such as Bunuel, Carl Dreyer, Andrzej Wajda and so on. The stories are engrossing, the cinematography is stunning and all have a distinct soundtrack. Only "The Sun is a Net" of these three films has been released by the British based Second Run, in a Region 2 DVD format. All three films in this Slovak Film Institute collection have been digitally restored and have English sub-titles and are also in the DVD Region 2 format. Grab them if you can.

Buy the restored digital version
1 of 1 found this helpful Passport to Pimlico is a wonderful Ealing film, but the non digitally restored DVD is murky and the print has lots of dust and scratches. Pay the extra and buy the restored digital DVD version.
