Old can be gold!
Sometimes buying the newest version of a classic doesn't always bring a level of improvement that warrents the money. When actually its all about listening to music on the go, keeping it simple and small, then buying the iPod nano 3rd Generation is a good deal indeed.
With all the key requirements packaged into one simple unit you can't go wrong.
Actually given I bought this for my teenage daughter as a replacement for one that was stolen, she had a choice to go for the newer versions, but her feeling was the size, shape and use of this model matched the normal day-2-day needs most of us have of an ipod.
Highly recommended. Ours was gunmetal black - more discrete that green, which as a a colour, may well date!

Clean and sharp!
Great smell, cleaning and works all over the body including hair.

SONY standing alone - a good start
Truth is I am a Sony fan. For years have bought Xperia or equivalent models so this was a natural progression.
Design is smooth and has a real quality feel and while screen is large enough, the size feels smaller that other phones.
Functionality, if you're used to Xperia, is fine and I would say more than meets my business and personal needs.
Definetly needs a cover of some sort as full width touch screen does need protection and personally I don't like the 'stick on' screen guards. Nice leather cases are available and work perfectly well.
Battery life is not brilliant. Acepting it's partly related to the number of running processes, it's still not brilliant.
Music and video quality brilliant as is photo function. Easy to transfer and send.
Overall a good phone, though perhaps I feel that as my eyesight gets worse with age, I might one day migrate to an even larger screen/phone.
As always with Sony products - built to a very high standard and it feels and looks it.
