MP800 printhead
As it seems Canon no longer make these printheads I was concerned where to buy a replacement. There weren't many UK sources and so I bought from one of the few I could find. So far it has worked OK but it arrived with no manufacturer's packaging just some bubble wrap around it which meant none of the delicate contacts had any proper protection. It was listed as new although there were signs of cyan ink on it. There was no documentation so I am hoping that it is new, of good quality and will last the normal life of a printhead. At £40 I don't consider it particularly good value as I have no way of telling whether it is any better than the cheaper equivalents available from China. My comments about recommending it, its value and quality really needed a 'probably' rating rather than just yes or no. Fingers crossed!

Simple, solid and good value
2 of 2 found this helpful When I first bought it a few bristles dropped out. This continued when I washed it the next couple of times but has stopped now without showing visible gaps. It's well made especially for the price, with dense bristles. For me personally I prefer fewer bristles but it still does it's job well.

Simple and sturdy
Bought this to replace one we've had for about 30 years. Eventually the old one got chipped and the handle broke, i.e. life happened to it! Glad to have a complete one again. It's a subtle redesign and appears to be even sturdier than the old one so should last another 30 years. We love the fact that once the filter is removed the tea stops brewing and so doesn't 'stew', allowing a fresh second mug.
