Brilliant D500
5 of 5 found this helpful The D500 is a superb camera. Great focusing, particularly in continuous mode, with very few shots in a burst sequence being out of focus. The handling is also fantastic, particularly if you own a D800 series as the controls are very similar. The weight is just about right with most pro lenses feeling very nice on the body.
Images are sharp of course although I would have preferred a few more megapixels to play with for cropping etc, however, that might have negated the D500's standout feature which is its incredible burst mode which sounds like a machine gun.
The highest complement I can pay it is that because of the flexibility of shooting and pleasure in use, I have hardly used my D810.
