Unretractable washing line

On the first time of using, one side pulled out but wouldn't retract. Something clicked inside. If it's user error then I would say it's not robust enough.

Zero germination

I sowed the whole packet in good compost in the greenhouse. Not a single one germinated.

I sowed them in good compost on the kitchen windowsill and in the greenhouse. I tried 3 times and used the whole packet. Nothing came up.
