Little known history of the RAF
An interesting history of a part of the RAF's wartime work which can be overlooked.

One of the top buys for the full Prokofiev ballet
These two CDs have the full score of the ballet and not just the highlights. My 2005/06 edition of the 'Penguin Guide to Compact Discs' (Unfortunately no longer published) says 'the precision of ensemble of the Cleveland Orchestra is little short of miraculous.' and gives a full *** rating. I need say no more.

A step up from my Marantz PM6005
I was fortunate in purchasing a CXA60 refurbished by the manufacturer and offered at a big discount, even so it's worth a listen even at full price. While my Marantz amplifier was very good, the CXA60 is certainly a step up and 'What Hi-Fi' magazine claim that this is also the case over the current model PM6006, but this should be expected given the additional cost. I found the Cambridge tightened up the rather soft bass delivery of the Marantz, gave me an improved stereo image and instrument separation - and I could hear more coming out of my tweeters (Monitor Audio BX2s MK1) it wasn't entirely my ears after all! I like the tone control option while still having a direct button. Anyone looking for a sub £600 amp should audition the Cambridge CXA60
