Excellent reading for anyone interested in the great war
This book gives an historical account of the life and experiences of one Aussie soldier entering the war just after the somme battle until his repatriation back to ozz after the end of the war. it gives an insight into what it was like to be at the front and having to overcome the horror of the barrage of shells and wall of machine gun bullets that were faced, not just when going over the top, but by being anywhere near the front lines. very traumatic reading at times.
