Still a good cpu!
1 of 1 found this helpful I`ve got three PC`s all using AMD Athlon™ 64 4000+ cpu`s, they`ll be the last socket 939`s that I`ll be using but they are very much value for money, if you stll have a good socket 939 mobo and 2GB of ram they will do most jobs fine, and will overclock quite well, I believe. The San Diego core is preferred over the Clawhammer and don`t pay any more than you have to. I see them down to £40, this is fair, as they have really been overtaken by other cpu`s.This one I purchased is a boxed job with original fan and heatsink and this is fine unless you want to overclock a lot, in which case an alternative cooler may be required. They are OK for gamers, especially older games with a good graphics card, fine for almost anything, you don`t need anything better for Warcraft. I have two PC`s sharing one monitor which I switch between with a KVM switch - that`s my excuse for a dual core setup, so two single core 4000+ cpu`s do the trick at the moment. To summarise, if you have a good 939 mobo and other bits this is an excellent last stand before you do a mega upgrade!

Just Works
Very neat and compact, works fine powering a CleverDog camera and charging phones at same time, haven`t tried using all the sockets simultaneously. Good value, no problems!
