An AWESOME Series For Horse Lovers Of All Ages And Diciplines!
I stumbled onto Wildfire the first time via Netflix. As a horse lover and owner myself I decided to give it a try. I had passed over it a few times previously only because I thought it was strictly a "teen drama" and was afraid it might be too cheesy...well Im glad I gave it a shot cause it blew me away! I was instantly HOOKED!...I watched all 4 seasons in a week- and only because I loved it so much I had to pace myself because I didnt want to see it end! I am in my early 30s and while it does revolve around the lives 4 teens, it comes complete with the whole rest of the families dramas plus the racing world. It kept me easily entertained. It has great values and lessons for all ages, is tastefully done, from the set to the stunts to the racing and will leave you rooting for the underdog. I was also very impressed that the scenes were actually believable- to often in horse movies and shows someone who has experience ( and even those who dont) can pick it apart, not so much here, all the way down with the cast actually knowing how to ride...and CORRECTLY for the most part! Genevieve Cortez who plays the leading role of Kris Furillo is a natural and makes it all so believable you feel like your watching someones life. This is a great show from the horse crazy young girl to the horse loving adult and from the western, english and racing worlds. As a warning- I would not recommend letting a younger girl ( and I mean like a child/ pre teen maybe?) watch it unless you have viewed it first, as it does have a few risque scenes but nothing to crazy or sleezy.I will admit theres a LITTLE bit of cheese in the first season or maybe it was just overly dramatic in some of the story line to stomp the lesson into your memory but midway thru Season 2 its hard to find any faults at all in this series...it just gets better and better! I am so sad that it ended but cant wait for Season 4 to come out on DVD...On the whole, its a great family show and I would be suprised if it disappoints.

Overall Cute Book, A little More Magic Wouldve Made It PERFECT! :)
I had been waiting and waiting to read this book...and although I was impressed and really liked it overall...I was a little disappointed there wasnt more magic in it. I dont say this to discourage anyone from reading it, as it was still a great book, I think I just had a little different expectation for it. You will definately fall in love with Bay- who is worldly beyond her years, and Id be willing to bet you will be cheering for the rest of the characters as well, who are definately flawed but lovable...which makes this a read anyone can relate too. I loved the humor in it, and the author gives you a great feel for each character. I did find myself laughing out loud a few times. Anyone with a sister who is familiar with the Big Sis/ Little Sis rivalry will identify and then relish in the forgiveness and outcome of this story. Its a great blending of realism, a little magic, forgiveness, trust, love and the bonds of family. A light hearted read for the most part with seriouse issues such as domestic violence, sibling rivalry and abandonement, though the author manages to never make the ugly parts to dark, it is more about over coming and celebrating life. I did love this book and am only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because I thought it couldvebeen a little more magical...although whats not to love about a naughty apple tree who has an oppinion all its own and is not afraid to throw it at ya! :)

YES! There IS STILL Hope For Todays Music! :)
It is so nice to finally hear a newer band with a refreshing sound! I LOVE KINGS OF LEON! It is raw yet beautiful and soulful, and will leave you optimistic that there really is some hope for new music beyond meaningless lyrics and computer editing! This CD is amazing...it would be great for a road trip as it takes you on a trip all on its own, from heartbreak and longing, to fun and playful, to raw and wild back to the haunting soulful end track...Its been awhile since I have heard a newer CD that left me feeling like that...and I mean its been awhile as in... the 90s grunge era! :)Well Done KOL...WELL DONE!
