The wife loves it. I don't
12 of 12 found this helpful During our married life we've had maybe ten or more of these machines. To me this represents a huge waste of money. To my wife this represents years of easy cleaning and value for money. To me it represents hours of listening to that annoying hissing while I'm trying to work. To her it represents the necessary killing of bacteria, whether I can concentrate or not. To me: the gradual erosion of my paintwork, grouting and plaster. To her: effortless cleaning. To me: the inevitable sound of the seals having gone somewhere on the machine and the need to send it back to Polti for a repair. To her: easy stain removal. To me: a piece of Italian engineering akin to the old Alfa I used to drive which fell to pieces. To her: clean carpets. To me: rotting underlay. To me: useless. To her: Essential.
Why do we have them? All because the lady loves Polti. Probably more than the lady loves me.

Delightful
The batteries needed a bit of a jiggle to get them to come to life but, for what it is, this is a neat little thing. If you're like me it will probably be ages before I get to renew the batteries when they run out and it will more likely find its way into the attic graveyard for all such items that my wife has bought.
So I'll gaze at it in rapturous delight until that fateful day.

I got this for the wife. She loves it and is happy. Therefore I am happy.
