Excellent camera but watch the software.
1 of 1 found this helpful I purchased the original 'Rebel' when Canon were getting into digital. I loved my film EOS so it was a great disappointment to find how limited and poor the new one was (no video either). This model however, is everything the first one should have been! I really recommend it to anyone (especially if you have any old EOS lenses etc. as they all fit) I would say that it takes the best indoor shots (even without flash)I have ever seen, but you would be advised to switch to scenery mode for outside!
The software however has some problem. I had to remove it from my (windows 7) computer, as it disabled the sound and changed the graphics. also some programs to do with photos would not run. I have no idea why this should happen but the software is not necessary as the camera is 'plug and play' and works with most bought or free photo management programs. It maybe the Canon software is OK and my computer was at fault, just take care when using it.
