Dance your socks off, take coffee/tea breaks, don't break a leg, Shuffle!
Great if you like retro urban conflict replaced with breakdance moves - some spectacular ones at the time back in the 90's. It's really for anyone who loves all types of dancing and can easily fit into dance genre along the lines of X-Factor without singing being the main thing.
Apart from the cast of nobody in particular, the plot is easily forgotten?
Well I think it's something like us verus them, yeah, and we're better than you dancing swagger wise? Throw in a twist or two of old romantic stuff and that's just about it....Even the late Michael Jackson would want to be Starting Something! Probably something else more memorable at the time, but there's no comparison in this instance really, as breakdancing is a form all on it's own.)
Typical 90's style there is a sequal movie 'Electric Boogaloo' which is nice as the same cast filters through to a second helping of breakdancing moves, some good & some not so good. Oh! And the plot here sees people unite at a price to save the 'Miracles' community centre, an obvious but weak story line that loses the impact of the dance genre.
In both films, dancers today, may be inspired by some of the moves, which could easily be used in current dance styles, but I can't help but think ... 'Will breakdancing be revived?' Closest we'll get today is LMFO-Shufflin...
Overall my rating is average meaning if you've got rhythm in your blood you'll like the dancing stuff up to a point and just about nothing else, unless you like any of the cast, none of which are A list quality.

Coming of age Romance; Great all round family entertainment with likeable characters who all play their various roles with ease & surprise in each & every episode (8 episodes for Part 1) - An absolute delight! Well directed with unusual scenes from the outset to more predictable sequences as events unravel! DVD format on 4 discs - Spoken in Japanese with English subtitles. (Part 2 also recommended!)
