Bargain, but........
French appliances will not be earthed. A french 3-pin plug has live and neutral pins (they connect perfectly) but they have an earth socket - and the adapter also has an earth socket so the earth does not connect. My solution is to get some 4.5mm diameter steel rod and cut off 40mm. This rod will then connect the earth socket to the earth socket and make it truly a 3-pin adapter.

Vive la difference!
1 of 1 found this helpful We probably bought and read 'A year in Provence' when it was first published. Since then, not only have we read just about every other book about Brits selling up, moving to France and restoring a ruin, but we've done it ourselves.
Recently we have entertained visitors from Australia in our French home however when I tried to find my copy for them to read, it had been lost in the move. Ebay gave me an opportunity to replace that copy at a very good price.
