Not great for an amateur botanist.
1 of 1 found this helpful The book is full of diagrams, the only problem is that it is arranged by families, this is great if you know what family a plant belongs to for instance. If you don't it would be great to have all the plants grouped by colour. Diagrams are a bit small and a bit wishy-washy.
