A versatile compact trimmer that's well made and great value for money.
I can honestly say that this little trimmer did exactly what I hoped for, making it easy for me to trim up the small length of shrub that ran along the base of my garden fence.
Admittedly it is brand new and therefore the blades are nice and sharp, but to my surprise I did not have it jam once, not even when cutting through quite thick and hard stems that must have been near it's limit.
I notice that some people have suggested that the blades may only last for about a year, and that once they become blunt you will need to purchase replacements, however as the blades can be dismantled I really don't see why they could not be sharpened using a small oil stone and a little patience. The important thing is to clean the blades after every use and squirt them with a little WD40 before putting it away, this will help keep things running nicely and help protect them from corrosion.
One feature I did like was the tools ability to swivel so that you are always using it at an angle that is comfortable to hold, this helped me a lot as I suffer to some extent from arthritis.
One very important thing to remember is to never remove or replace the cutting blades without first removing the safety lead that plugs into the handle, the same also applies if you ever did need to unblock the cutters when in use, it may be easy to forget but the trip to the hospital won't be so easy.

Providing you purchase the "Genuine" article which comes in a nice strong box, then you will be pleasantly surprised at the level of quality you are getting for your money.
Despite some of the negative reviews claiming that the sides were made of a more flimsy material and had a tendency to collapse rather than hold their shape, I had no such problems at all with mine, and I can only assume that there are some poor quality copies finding there way onto the market.
Monty is over 20yrs old now, and once the novelty of trying to get inside the box wore off he soon realized just how warm and comfy the "Kitty Shack" was when he first laid on it.
He does not seem so keen to go inside it when zipped up as a tunnel, but I think given time he will try that as well.
Monty likes to follow me around, and it is so easy to take his new bed into each room and either place it on a sofa or just lay it on the floor for him.
Having looked at the official "Kitty Shack" website in the U.S. it appears that average price here is an absolute bargain, and providing you make sure that you buy the genuine article both you and your kitty should be well pleased.
