A bad design that marrs a good product.
1 of 1 found this helpful This could have been a great product because the idea of just plugging in a RCD into a normal socket and then being able to use an external socket is brilliant. The thing is with the one I received, I couldn't close the cover on the outside socket as the clips to hold them are not long enough to close the lid. I have had to take out the rubber bushing that makes the normal 13 amp plug water resistant. Still I cannot close to lid on the plugs without having to squeeze the lid hard against the back box. I blame BG for a very badly designed cover. If they fix this then I would certainly recommend it.
