With the help of a kind chap on YouTube and another who did the very fiddly soldering, I have saved a tumble drier from going in to landfill. It is now as good as new. I should have had more faith that the repair would work as I now have two perfectly good tumble driers.

Fiddly to fit but worth it.

These inserts replace the part that wears on a windscreen wiper. Other ways to replace a worn wiper are wasteful sending a lot to landfill. With careful fitting, trying not to bend the clamps on the wiper frame, it should be possible to save several sets of wipers over the life of a vehicle.
