A good read from a highly talented writer
I had read "Heaven Eyes" "Skellig" "Kit's Wilderness" and "Counting Stars" by David Almond before but "The Fire-eaters" did not quite come up to the those books brilliance, but it was still memorable and a good read.

Good taster of Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em
This is a great introduction to Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. There are 5 episodes which give a good flavour of it before going for the complete series ones. The roller skating incident and when Frank is a despatch rides are very very funny. I got it mainly to see if my 12 year old son would like them ... and he did. Michael Crawford and Michele Dotrice make a great team and I had forgotten that in amongst all the knock about comedy there are some lovely moments of tenderness between them.
