Solid build, good value

This is a sound piece of kit, Solidly engineered, and capable of supporting heavy SLRs. I particularly like the snap-in auto- locking quick release, which has a generous platform area so as not to put a strain on the camera/battery grip baseplate. The ball clamp screw is easily tightened or slackened with a thumbscrew rather than a knob, which makes for partial slackening to adjust the camera without it flopping about all over the place. If I had to make two criticisms, one would be the spirit level. The fact that it has one at all at this price is good, but it is very small, and frankly not much use. The second issue is that this is a solidly built piece of kit, and as such is quite heavy, something to take into account when pairing it with say a Gorillapod, or a lightweight tripod. But at the price?.........

Sound no-frills stainless steel cooker hood.

Had one of these previously and after 4 years the light switch button failed, it wouldn’t stay on when pushed. Other than that it was OK. Aluminium hood filters dishwasher safe, a good point, powerful but noisy fan on max setting.
