A CHEAP AND CLEVER SOLUTION

Until I "acquire" (wealthy person's term for 'purchase') a newer vehicle with a built-in GPS, I remain perfectly satisfied with this clever and inexpensive mounting arrangement. The mount arrives "knocked down." You have to assemble it without the benefit of printed instructions. However, I found the task easy enough by observing the photo of the mount on eBay. The two top "fingers" resemble alligator clips and grab onto one of the upper horizontal louvers of the dashboard vent. The bottom finger simply rests against the lower portion of the vent. Gravity keeps the mount in place, and I don't think that's going to go away anytime soon. The mount is spaced out from the dashboard, so the vent still delivers air. Bottom line: Thanks to this mount, I think my standalone GPS has finally found the best possible location in my car.

Homax Plastic Caulking Cap

THE BEST CAULK TUBE SEALER EVER!

The Big Box home improvement stores stopped carrying these caulk tube sealers. Not very smart of them. Thank goodness there was someone on eBay who still had 'em. They do a marvelous job of capping open tubes of caulk, sealer, etc. Six months later the contents of the tube has not dried out. Can't ask for more than that.
