Great exhaust system, sounds amazing, good fitment, IF replacing entire OEM exhaust system
2 of 2 found this helpful Compared to other aftermarket systems for the 3.0TFSI platform, you get the most bang for your buck with the Becker exhaust system. It's a full cat-back WITH included downpipes, for almost HALF the price of others out on the market. Keep in mind, that other systems on the market DO NOT come with downpipes, and those are usually a separate cost altogether. If one purchases this Becker system to replace the ENTIRE OEM exhaust system, it's a GREAT BUY!
That said, I purchased this system with hopes of a simple and easy install, pairing the Becker system up to the OEM downpipes. WRONG (see #2), but the only complaints I have about this system are:
1) the clamps that come with the kit are a bit...lower quality than what you can get at your local autoparts store. Not a big problem.
2) Unless you are familiar with the stock exhaust system on the 3.0TFSI platform, you would have never noticed by the Becker system photos that the OEM downpipes are only the same length with the Becker downpipes, IF and ONLY IF the Becker downpipes AND the Becker X-pipe are both utilized.
In other words, unless you plan on using the FULL Becker system - with the included downpipes AND X-pipe, the Becker system WILL NOT mate up with the OEM downpipes, without modifications such as exhaust pipe extensions, adapters or connectors.
The Becker system - from the center muffler to the OEM downpipes, is about 4 inches too short, with the pipe ID of 2.5,"where as the OEM exhaust pipe diameter has an OD of about 2.25"
All in all, this system is great if you plan to use the entire system. If you plan on pairing this up to the OEM downpipes, you'll definitely run into issues.
