Good value but some extra work will make them better
Good for the price but treat them as a starting point for modelling as they are mono coloured- expect to do some work on these with additional colouring or varied flocks, postiche and perhaps some adhesive as the flock tends to drop off easily

Fibre pencils get used up quickly so always need a supply. They do the job well and are easy to fit.

Good Runner and with old style ribbed wheels can haull really welll.
A great alternative to the Bachmann model if you want to go cheap. Old x121 motor is robust and works well. Needs some work on re-wheeling and interiors and because of their age may need some repaint. Relatively easy to change to DCC. The more adventurous willl want to create kitchen cars and perhaps the 2nd class WR parlour cars as they are not part of Triang''s original set.
