Works smoothly
Great device for protecting camera from too much voltage. Haven't tested it with really old flashes yet. Just an outdated TTL flash. So I can't evaluate the protection. Comes with working battery inside 😊 Also, the camera flash is elevated to a higher position. This provides better lighting. I guess it is in fact a combined transmitter/receiver. Thus no direct connection camera/flash.

High Quality Flash
I own 4 if this model now. The first one was for film cameras. So I knew the high Pentax quality. This flash has a slave cell, so I can use it as a strobe with other units. Power battety packs are available at ebay. The only con is that it wont remenber settings when turned off.

Soft shadows, pretty light angle, small light spill.
With the Lumiquest Pocket Bouncer it's easy to make nice, perfectly lit portraits on the go. Lumiqest was the winner in my little test.
