One of only a few radio's left that still feels like old school quality with high tech functions! The "Tecsun S-8800" is simply a great radio! Anon Co. was great about how fast it got to me. It was also packed very well. This is my second radio from Anon. Highly recommend!

Poor Am Reception, Speaker not tuned for voice.
2 of 3 found this helpful -The problem with this radio is that the sound almost sounds muffled...even after adjusting the primitive built in equalizer. The speaker is just not up to the task. For talk radio; it's a bust, for FM you won't notice since if your listening on this, your not really too picky, just looking for background.
- The built in ferrite antenna is also not a standout. Reception is "Weak"; Sorry! Got to call it like it is. If you just
listen to a few local stations, you'll be OK.
- On the positive side; the NOAA weather was clear and seemed to pick up well. Being able to add county codes to
the "S.A.M.E." list on the radio was easy. I just googled for the county codes around me...and then built a wall
to get advance notice.
Conclusion: I would not purchase this again, but since I have it, I guess I'll keep it. Since nearly all radio's, "trust me" out today are complete JUNK; at least this one would be closer to the top of the landfill.

An Excellent Call Blocker !!!
This call blocker was easy to setup and use. Depending on how the incoming call data is formatted, you may or may
not hear a ring before the number is disconnected. So far I only see the number show up on my tv(since I have comcast) and I have it wired in series; I don't hear any ring on most rejected calls.
We all know any product can be improved, and that was my only reason for 4 stars.
1. I would like to see the ability for storage of many more area codes. Most companies have so many extensions now that you will forever be hitting the "blacklist" button within same area code but for different "exchange" or "extension". OR in lieu of that;
2. I would like to see the ability to use "wildcards" meta-characters to match one or more numbers or digits. Like using an asterisk to match: ie.. 1 40* ***-**** which would say "block" any number that starts with "1 40" and anything after OR 1 4*2 ***-*** which says block any number with a 1 4"any number"2 and anything after. eg..
1 412, 1 422, 1 432, 1 442, and so on.
3. A function to block "out of country" calls would also be on my wishlist.
Conclusion: I like this unit. It seems functional and has a good price point. I would highly recommend !
