An analysis of insanity written by an insane man
I enjoyed reading this book. Charles Bronson makes a compelling argument that for many long term prisoners, if they were insane when they went to prison they became insane by the time they left. it is to be expected that prisoners will moan about the conditions they are kept it and about some of the treatment they are dealt. However, Bronson accepts that action must be taken against criminals and he personally wants to kill every paedophile he meets in prison and attempts to do so. I'm not convinced though that prisoners become mad, it seems logical to me that in the cases he talks about, these are seriously maladjusted individuals. Perhaps Bronson is right, the only answer is capital punishment as they aren't curable and their behaviour wlll only continue once they are back outside. An interesting book written by a very interesting character.
