solid
It's a good hunk of metal, so it weighs a fair bit more than some of the plastic alternatives, but that does mean it'll survive a fair bit of use and abuse. The suction plate which keeps it locked in place works very well on a suitable smooth surface ( I use a tempered glass chopping board), but it's less reliable on a normal desk top.
The rubber covers over the vice head work really well - cushion parts without any loss of grip.
Works really well for a hobby vice.

Nice bit of kit
Technics have always had a decent reputation for sound quality and this player is no exception. Plenty of options, handles every disk I've thrown at it. HI-FI separates my take up more space and leve a bad case of spaghetti wires around the back but it's worth it for the quality.

Decent work/home laptop.
3 of 3 found this helpful Firs off let me simply state that this laptop beats the proverbials out of Notebooks. Why anyone would go for a cheap-ass, reduced fat, full price Notebook/Chromebook?whatever they call them book is beyond me.
Let's get down to business. Screen is an excellent size (no need to hunch over it) with a good display quality, ideal for both productivity and relaxation uses. The system boots into Windows within a couple of seconds of powering n, thanks to the solid state hard drive (which is a bit small but that's life). 8GB RAM is enough for my needs, and let's face it this system is not a 'gaming' laptop or used for 3D modelling so it's adequate for the task.
Clean and simple case design, with plenty of ports. To keep the thickness down there's no internal DVD, though nowadays that's becoming the norm. An external DVD drive would be worth buying if you're old-fashioned like me.
The only bug-bear I have is the touch-pad. The left and right buttons are integrated into the pad. This can cause you to right click when you wanted to left click, or drag the cursor if your finger moves as you click. It's irritating and shows one of those annoying areas where style has taken precedence over function.
Other than that it's a decent work-horse laptop with decent functionality and pretty good battery performance.
