Epson EH-TW5600 - Good Value

After a couple of weeks with the Epson EH-TW5600 I am very happy. The picture is bright and very usable even during the day. The focus, colours and contrast look good. Dark room viewing is amazing. I viewed a demo of this unit in a Hi-Fi shop and compared it to projectors costing double or more, and it looked just as good or better than some. With the “color mode” set to natural or cinema, the projector fan is very quiet and the picture is a little dimmer, but still adequately bright. In bright cinema and dynamic the picture is super bright, but the fan is more noticeable. The dynamic range looks as good as any other LCD unit. The hardware focus and zoom allow for flexible screen to projector distance. The only omission is lens shift, so you need to place the projector accurately in the centre of the screen if you don’t want to use software trapezoidal adjustment. This projector is extremely good for the price, you’d need to pay a lot more to see any difference… and the replacement lamps are cheap! Highly recommended.

Ambit watch band

Looks pretty good for the money but does not fit Ambit 1 as advertised. If you have an Ambit 1 then this is not the band for you.
