Older model - wish I had known
I love all Surefire products, and this headlamp is no exception, but I ordered this older model before finding out about the newer, brighter, model. This older model is turned on by turning the knob on the right side. The newer one is turned on by pressing a button on the knob, which turns for brightness control. The newer model is also 300 lumens, while mine is 100 lumens, and with the same battery.
What's great about either of these lights is that, if you have velcro sewn onto a baseball cap, the head strap and neoprene head pad can be removed, and it can be stuck to your hat. I intend to do that.
This is a great light, but make sure you buy the newer model. If you are looking at the older Minimus, I wouldn't pay more than $100. I paid $160, which was way too much.

An Excellent Range Bag
I'm glad I chose this for my range bag. It has an inner range bag that I didn't know about when I ordered it, so it was a pleasant surprise. You can leave it in and never know it comes out. It works perfectly as it is, but if you need a smaller range bag, just remove it. With the inner range bag out, the larger case is just a cavernous duffle bag with no pockets, and that could be a real benefit to those who need that. A gun cleaning kit would fit nicely in the outer pocket. The top flap can be locked shut to the D ring that the shoulder strap connects to. I recommend this range bag.
