Well above Average for a "Kit Lens"
1 of 1 found this helpful I got this as a first lens for my X-T20.. the typical kit lens for this camera is the 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6.. not very fast.. and also I understand from other reviews that the 16-50 is plastic. This one of course gives you f/2.8 @ 18mm and it is pretty sharp and has nice color even wide open. It feels well made with its all-metal exterior. The downside is that this brings extra weight, which if you are looking for a lens to carry with you every day, is somewhat of a negative. I also would have liked a smaller minimum focus distance (it is around 30cm). But if these are acceptable to you, it really is a very nice lens that hits the sweet spot for speed vs weight vs zoom range...

Just a lens cap with a little hole in it, but no tether! Worthless.
The lens cap itself is not bad but the string it comes with is useless. It is just a little 3 inch scrap of string floating around in the envelope, there's no possible way to attach the cap to the camera with this string, it's far too short. Not even a 3 inch loop, just a useless little scrap.
